Elaine's Story
Hi Everyone!!!
A short story since I left Bassett High School in 1980.
I went to MSAC for two years and study Accounting Principles & Real Estate. Then to Cal Poly Pomona to earn a certification with Production & Inventory Control. Worked in the Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Industry, at my father's printing company, was a independent jewelry & cosmetics salesperson and accounting analyst. Always, working both sides of the brain. The analytical and artistic sides. Crazy, but I like keeping busy.
I feel in love with a bad boy and although I became pregnant with my beautiful boy, I did not marry him. It was a very hard lesson for me. I never married only because I have not met the right man. Too bad because I would have wanted more children. My son and I are very close today. He now lives in Las Vegas and is 24 years old. I have moved around a little and traveled much. I now reside in Laguna Hills, California in Orange County where I can play outdoors and enjoy the artsy and beautiful views of the ocean side. r mostly being with friends & family and sharing great times with them. I still enter and completed Half-Marathon, 50miles Bike Ride, many 5 or 10K races and even raced like a Hawaiian in an outrigger canoe. Yup! It's all playtime for me. Thank goodness I can still do all this stuff! Here is something that most people don't know...I recently became a court appointed special advocate for abuse and negelected children here in OC. Short for CASA. It was a long time decision for me to become dedicated to helping these kids in the welfare system. I will never regret it and will always remain passionate about helping these children for the rest of my life. I am a pretty happy person and make the most of my life. I remain humble because I have failed and succeeded like so many others, but learned the lesson well. I believe in God who will always guide me in the right direction and I am very grateful for many things and blessed for the beautiful friends I have kept close to my heart. I guess the only thing waiting now is to meet a great man who I can live the rest of my life with. But I am not holding my breath for it. If it happens, great..if not, life is great.
Thanks for reading my somewhat short story. LOL
